Golf

public to private, New Bern is well-known for its many excellent
golf courses, and the area's year-round mild weather offers
a perfect climate for this challenging game. Golf courses
are abundant in and around the city, and many have won acclaim
from professionals and amateurs alike. Resident and visiting
duffers are fortunate as even the most popular courses are
easily accessible. Settle into Skysail, then tee off at any
of the lovely courses!
Those who are a bit more serious about their game—and
who isn't?—can test those skills in any number of opportunities.
The New Bern Recreation & Parks Department offers an Adult
and Junior Golf Leagues that play in spring and late summer.
Except for winter, every season sees any number of golf tournaments
sponsored by local courses and organizations.
The Craven County Convention and Visitors Bureau maintains
a comprehensive calendar of annual events that includes many
golf tournaments, and many events are publicized in the New
